Gods Of No Power

The Gods of No Power are at it again.

Why is it that the Democrats can accurately perceive what’s offensive, but then only whine and wring their hands before they roll over and give butt time to the offender? (Unless, of course, when it comes to screwing the US. They are mighty mighties when it comes to stepping on their supporters and the US Constitution).

Joe Lieberman thinks it’s a good thing that he can speak his traitorous mind, yet keep his vaunted position. Fine, Joe. Democrats ought to keep in mind that you are not to be trusted.

As a matter of fact, why should the Republicans trust a man who stood next to John McCain, called President-Elect Obama a Marxist, yet still chooses to caucus with the Marxist’s party?

Can someone who is so blatantly power-hungry be trusted by anyone? No. Both parties ought to treat that liar as the pariah that he is. I hope President-Elect Obama won’t have to rue this day.

Maybe President-Elect Obama will disband the Department of Homeland Security. It has proven to be too clunky and ineffectual.

From ending torture to restoring constitutional rights,  our trusted grassroot organizations are putting in their wish lists for the new administration.

I’ll be happy if the O administration can immediately hamstring rogue police elements long enough to keep them from blasting innocent black men full of bullet holes for simply reaching inside a coat or pants pocket for their wallet. As well, if we can get a handle on the misuse of tasers that would be awesome as well.

*********************

To union workers who voted for Republicans: why? George Bush and his Republicans are unwilling to spend money to save your job? How do you justify them throwing trillions at Wall Street while they blame you, the union worker for the woes of the auto industry?

When the Republicans raise their middle finger at you, what do you suppose they’re trying to communicate?

“O” Happy Day: Can You Feel IT??!!!!! (Vid)

screen-capture-247

O’ THANK YOU AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!

CAN YOU FEEL IT?

In the beginning the land was pure

Even in the early morning light

You could see the beauty in the thorns of nature

Soon men and women of every color and shape

would be here too

And they would find it all too easy sometimes not to

See the colors

And to ignore the beauty in each other

But they would never lose sight of the dream of

A better world that

They could unite

And build together

IN TRIUMPH

can you feel it, can you feel it,can you feel it!

if you look around
the whole world’s coming together now.
can you feel it,can you feel it, can you feel it!
feel it in the air
the wind is taking it everywhere.
can you feel it,can you feel it, can you feel it!

all the colors of the world should be
lovin’ each other wholeheartedly.
yes it’s alright, take my message to your brother and tell him twice.
spread the word who tried to teach the man who is hatin’ his brother,
when hate won’t do
’cause we’re all the same
yes the blood inside of me is inside of you.

now tell me!

can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it!
can you see what’s going down, you can feel it in your bones

every breath you take,
is someone’s death in another place.
every healthy smile,
is hunger and strife to another child.
but the stars do shine
and promising salvation is near this time.
can you feel it now,
so brothers and sisters
shall we know how.

now tell me!
can you feel it,tell me can you feel it,can you feel it!
talk now can you see what’s going down open up your mind.

all the children of the world should be
lovin’ each other wholeheartedly
yes it’s alright
take my message to your brother and tell him twice.
take the news to the marchin’ men
who are killin’ their brothers, when death won’t do.
yes we’re all the same
yes the blood inside my veins is inside of you.

now tell me!
can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it!
can you feel it, can you feel it, can you feel it!

WE CAN FEEL IT!!!!!!

Obama-Biden Wins Dixville Notch, NH

Good news first thing this morning for the team: voters in Dixville Notch and Hart’s Location, NH cast their votes in favor of Obama-Biden.

Though these are tiny communities – between them there are 115 residents- we didn’t realize what a a big deal this was until heads started exploding in Freeperland where they’re wondering what’s gotten into the water of townfolk who voted 15-6 and 17-10 respectively in favor of the Democratic candidates, Obama-Biden.

The Republican presidential ticket has been winning there for a couple of decades.

Obama & Bruce Springsteen “Working On A Dream” (Vid w/ Lyrics)

Bruce Springsteen, 80,000+ supporters rally for Obama in Cleveland, OH

Springsteen: I look around today and for many Americans today who are losing their jobs, or their homes or seeing their retirement funds disappear, who don’t have health care, who’ve been abandoned in our inner cities… the distance between that dream and that reality has grown greater and more painful than ever. I believe that Senator Obama has taken the measure of that distance in his own life and in his own work…

Working On A Dream

I hear the nights are long the days are lonely
I think of you and… I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

Now the cards I’ve drawn is rough and darkened
I straightened the back and … I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream (come on)

I’m working on a dream, though sometimes it feels so far away
I’m working on a dream, and I know it will be mine someday

Rain pouring down I swing my hammer
My hands are rough from… working on a dream
I’m working on a dream (let’s go)

I’m working on a dream, though trouble can feel like it’s here to stay
I’m working on a dream, well our love will chase the trouble away

~whistling~

I’m working on a dream, though it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream, our love will make it real someday

The sun rises up, I climb the ladder
A new day breaks and… I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream
I’m working on a dream

I’m working on a dream, though it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream, our love will make it real someday
I’m working on a dream, oh it can feel so far away
I’m working on a dream, and our love will make it real someday

Sarah Palin Punk’d By Comedy Duo! (Vid w/transcript)

The Masked AvengersAudette and Sebastien Trudel Audette prank Sarah Palin

Gov. Palin takes a call from a man claiming he’s French President Nicholas Sarkozy. ‘Sarkozy’ immediately starts stroking Palin’s massive ego telling her that she will one day be president.

“Sarkozy’ tells Sarah that they have hunting in common and suggests they hunt together by helicopter, “I just love killing those animals. Mm,mm. Take away life, that is so fun!”  Sarah giggles after his comment.

As a matter of fact, Sarah giggles much like a schoolgirl about to get her first kiss throughout the 6 minute conversation which may be one reason she misses all sorts of clues that the caller is a prankster.

She did not catch on when “Sarkozy’ misnamed the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and Jean Charest Quebec’s Premier. The Canada Federal election was held October 14 and Canada is included on Sarah’s resume as foreign policy experience.

‘Sarkozy’ tells Sarah he can see Belgium from his house then mentions Larry Flynt’s porno flick: “Nailin’ Paylin” that pays homage to her supposed “good looks”. She seems- on occasion- perplexed by some of ‘Sarkozy’s’ references, but neglects to ask for clarification.

Sarah gushes upon learning that ‘Sarkozy’s’ wife has penned a song for her after telling Sarah how hot his wife is in bed. And there’s so much more.

Transcript from DailyKos:

SP Assist: This is Vexy [??].
MA: Hello, Vexy [??]. This is Frank l’ouvrier (Frank the Worker), I’m with president Sarkozy on the line for Governor Palin.

SP Assist: One second please, can you hold on one second please?
MA: No problem.

SP Assist: Hi, I’m going to hand the phone over to her.
MA: Okay thank you very much I’m going to put the president on the line
SP Assist: Ok he’s coming to the line.

SP: This is Sarah.
MA: Yea, Governor Palin?

SP: Hellloooo…(long drawn out, like Well, hellooooo)
MA: Just hold on for President Sarkozy, one moment.
SP [To someone in the room]: Oh, it’s not him yet, I always do that. I’ll just have people hand it to me right when it’s them.

FNS: Yes, hello, Governor Palin? Yes, hello, Mrs. Governor?
SP: Hello this is Sarah., how are you?

FNS: Fine, and you, this is Nicolas Sarkozy speaking, how are you?
SP: Oh…so good, it’s so good to hear you. Thank you for calling us.

FNS: Oh, it’s a pleasure.
SP: Thank you sir, we have such great respect for you, John McCain and I, we love you and thank you for spending a few minutes to talk to me.

FNS: I  follow your campaigns closely with my special American Advisor Johnny Hallyday (the most famous French singer, looks like Elvis) you know?
SP: Yes! Good!

FNS: Excellent! Are you confident?
SP: Very confident and we’re thankful that the polls are showing that the race is tightening and–

FNS: Well I know very well that the campaign can be exhausting. How do you feel right now my dear?
SP: Ah, I feel so good. I feel like we’re in a marathon and at the very end of the marathon, you get your second wind and you plow to the finish—

FNS: You see, I got elected in France because I’m real and you seem to be someone who’s real as well.
SP: Yes, yeah, Nicolas, we so appreciate this opportunity.

FNS: You know, I see you as a president, one day, you too.
SP: [Muahaaa...weird laugh], maybe in 8 years. Haha

FNS: Well, ah, I hope for you. You know we have a lot in common because personally one of my favorite activities is to hunt too.
SP: [Giggle]o h very good, we should go hunting together.

FNS: Exactly! We could go try hunting by helicopter, like you did, I never did that.
SP: [Giggle]

FNS: Like we say in French “on pourrait tuer des bébés phoques aussi” (we could also kill some baby seals)
SP: [Giggle] Well I think we could have a lot of fun together as we’re getting work done, we can kill two birds with one stone that way.

FNS: I just love killing those animals. Mm, mm. Take away a life, that is so fun!
SP: [Hahahaha]

FNS: I’d really love to go as long as we don’t bring Vice president Cheney, hahaha.
SP: No, I’ll be a careful shot, yes.

FNS: You know we have a lot in common also except that from my house I can see Belgium. That’s kind of less interesting than you.
SP: Well, see, we’re right next door to other countries that we all need to be working with, yes.

FNS: Some people said in the last days, and I thought that was mean, that you weren’t experienced enough in foreign relations, and you know, that’s completely false, that’s the thing I said to my great friend, the Prime Minister of Canada Stef Carse. (a country singer from Quebec who covered Billy Ray Cyrus’ Achy Breaky Heart in French)

SP: Well, he’s doing fine, too, and yeah when you come into a position underestimated, it gives you the opportunity to prove the pundits and the critics wrong. You work that much harder-

FNS: I, I was wondering because you are also next to him, one of my good friends, also, the prime minister of Quebec, Mr. Richard Z. Sirois (a famous Quebec radio host) have you met him recently? Did he come to one of your rallies?
SP: Uh, haven’t seen him at one of the rallies, but it’s been great working with the Canadian officials in my role as governor; we have a great cooperative effort there as we work on all of our resource development projects. You know I look forward to working with you and getting to meet you personally and your beautiful wife, oh my goodness, you’ve added a lot of energy to your country, even, with that beautiful family of yours.

FNS: Thank you very much. You know my wife, Carla, would love to meet you. You know even though she was a bit jealous that I was supposed to speak to you today. [Hahahaha]
SP: [Hahahha] Well give her a big hug from me.

FNS: You know my wife is a popular singer and a former top model and she’s so hot in bed. She even wrote a song for you.
SP: Oh my goodness! I didn’t know that.

FNS: Yes, in French, it’s called « Du rouge à lèvres sur un cochonne » (Lipstick on a smutty girl) or if you prefer in English Joe the Plumber, [sings] It’s his life, Joe the Plumber…”
SP: Maybe she understands  some of the unfair criticism but I bet you she is such a hard worker, too, and she realizes you just plow through that criticism like

FNS: I just want to be sure, I don’t’ quite understand the phenomenon “Joe the Plumber,” that’s not your husband, right?
SP: Mmhmm, that’s not my husband but he’s a normal American who just works hard and doesn’t want government to take his money.

FNS: Yes, yes, I understand, we have the equivalent of Joe the Plumber in France, it’s called, “Marcel, the guy with bread under his armpit, oui.”
SP: Right. That’s what it’s all about, is the middle class, and government needing to work for them. You’re a very good example for us here.

FNS: I  seen a bit about NBC even Fox News wasn’t an ally, an ally, sorry, about as much as usual.
SP: Yeah that’s what we’re up against.

FNS: I must say, Governor Palin, I love the documentary they made on your life, you know, Hustler’s “Nailin Palin.”
SP:  Oh, good, thank you. Yes.

FNS: That was really edgy.
SP: [Laughs] Well good.

FNS: I really love you. And I must say something, so, Governor, you’ve been pranked.
By the Master Avengers. We’re two comedians from Montreal
SP: Oohhh have we been pranked? And what radio station is this? [tries to force herself to sound nice but you can tell she’s pissed]

FNS: This is for CKOI in Montreal.
SP: In Montreal? Tell me the radio station call letters
[SP leaves phone, continuous griping in background, sounds like, "For chrissakes...that was ??? Just a radio station prank...chrissakes..."]

MA: Hello? If one voice can change the world for Obama, one Viagra can change the world for McCain
[Man’s voice in background: hang up, hang up.]
SP Assist: Hi, I’m sorry, I have to let you go. Um, thank you.

“Wake The Nation”: Carly Simon Sings For Obama-Biden (Vid w/Lyrics)

Grab your hankies, then go grab your ballots!

“Let The River Run” Song Lyrics

We’re coming to the edge
running on the water
coming through the fog
your sons and daughters

Let the river run
let all the dreamers wake the nation
Come, the New Jerusalem.

Silver cities rise
the morning lights the streets that lead them
and sirens call them on with a song

It’s asking for the taking
trembling
shaking
Oh, my heart is aching

We’re coming to the edge
running on the water
coming through the fog
your sons and daughters

We the great and small
stand on a star
and blaze a trail of desire
through the darkening dawn

It’s asking for the taking
trembling
shaking
Oh, my heart is aching

We’re coming to the edge
running on the water
coming through the fog
your sons and daughters

Let the river run
let all the dreamers wake the nation
Come, the New Jerusalem.

Breaking: Plot To Assassinate Obama, Kill African-Americans Foiled

According to MSNBC the ATF has disrupted an alleged assassination plot on Senator Obama’s life. According to MSNBC, an accidental arrest led to the unraveling of the plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads whose alleged plans included targeting an African-American school. The school in the plot is unnamed.

More at MSNBC

It’s becoming painfully obvious that the McCain/Palin campaign have stirred up the emotionally fragile. The genie is out of the bottle and McCain/Palin bears some responsibility for going there with people by turning an American citizen, presidential candidate and sitting senator into a traitor.

This is the *second known plot on Obama’s life. For those who don’t remember or weren’t aware, the cops stumbled into another plot during the Dem convention in Colorado to kill Obama. The Feds rejected charging those guys and one girl as plotters, insisting they were meth-heads and not a danger.

*eta… this is actually the third alleged plot. We neglected to mention the Florida guy with the guns in the hotel.

Another Repub Bites The Dust: Ted Stevens (R) Found Guilty In Corruption Trial

Alaskan Republican Senator Ted Stevens found guilty on all seven counts in his corruption trial. The Feds charged him with accepting gifts and not reporting them. Each count carries five years.

There’s plenty of speculation on the nets that Alaskan governor Palin had more than just her Toddry husband’s “buddies” build their swanky Alaskan digs.

Palin Home photo: dailykos.com

Can justice for the ethically-challenged Sarah Palin be far behind? Girlfriend has lots of skeletons clankling around in that Alaskan closet of hers.

Here’s hoping just that.

Resourceful Neglect: What’s Really Going On In America

You don’t have to be a genius to realize that there’s a massive shifting of wealth taking place in our country. If you haven’t heard there are protests all over the country over the bailout plans.

More money, more money, more money: For a long time I thought that the rich and bloated could not have enough and that there was some sort of wild game played amongst themselves of who could build the highest mound of cash. I still believe that. But, now however, there’s a flip side to that thinking, because I’ve come to understand that not only will they have more money, but we’ll have far less or maybe even no money at all.

This massive redistribution of wealth (from funds that Americans will have to borrow via China?) pretty much seals the deal for me as, already, international banks are lining up for their share of redistribution funds.

I’m no economist. Nor have I conversed with any. I’m just an ordinary citizen whose brain stores important information for later retrieval. While lots of people are focused on the here and now, I’m wondering how we got here and were we’re heading.

Here’s how we got here: After George Bush staked down his claim to the White House and all of what it meant to be our first “dictator,” his first meeting was with the business community where groundwork may have been laid to cut taxes. Whether the scheme was hatched then or later the tax rebate scheme would overwhelmingly benefit the wealthy. It took effect in 2001 and was billed as helping the economy.

In early 2002, Bush began talking about “broader home ownership, especially among minorities” for those who previously could not afford them. This announcement came soon after the Senate and Congress began rewriting the bankruptcy code whereby distressed, bankruptcy-declared homeowners could no longer save their primary property. In 2005, a final industry-written bankruptcy bill was signed into law.

Plenty of Democrats, including my own senator, voted for that little piece of stink.

So we have several schemes in a span of just a few years: tax rebates that go mostly to the wealthy; the war in Afghanistan and the Iraq invasion with their accompanying patronage system that includes military privatization. Add to that mix, banking deregulation and a scheme to get more minorities into homes with the caveat of making home mortgages available to those who normally couldn’t afford them.

All these schemes were promoted as helping American taxpayers.

However, if the true goal is to make loads of money while impoverishing America, the scheme has to be widespread covering a number of institutions.

Is it mere coincidence that The Bush Family were deeply involved with the Savings and Loans scandal of the 80’s and 90’s? As was Sen. John McBush, who has a certain fondness for deregulating financial institutions. The similarities between the S&L Loan crisis to today’s banking and investment scandals are striking. The White House, with a slip of the tongue, revealed that they’ve had this bailout plan on paper for months. Oh really… how many months was that you say?

Here’s where we’re heading: The complexion of the American population is becoming browner, everybody. About the time we found that out American businesses had already begun shifting high paying jobs overseas to India, a country that has in place a tidy, though sl-o-o-wly evolving little known or talked about caste system that pretty much keeps everyone in their respective place. An aspect of the caste system operates by virtue of birth, placing darker-skinned aboriginal peoples of India on a lower socio-economic rung than the Aryan invaders, turned rulers and others.

By 2042, America’s white majority will no longer exist. I lay odds that it’ll happen sooner than that. Look at present day state demos.

Economists are saying that this $700+ billion transfer of American wealth from taxpayers will effect generations to come. If that’s the case, they’re talking about it impacting a mostly brown population and probably, by then, a much poorer white population. However, today’s wealth transfer ensures that future generations of the majority brown population will be horribly indebted.

I think a highly educated, militarily strong, wealthy browner-skinned America is anathema to those people who pull the world’s economic strings.

This whole Wall Street mess reminds me of the negotiated downfall of the apartheid South African government. Before the ANC took power certain economic structural controls were put in place. These controls are now so entrenched that anytime the post-apartheid leadership breathes a hint of economic equality for the majority population, the business community steps in threatening economic retaliation. For all their years of fighting, the majority population fares no better under black power.

A couple of years prior to relinquishing control, the South African nuclear weapons and ballistics program, initiated with Israel’s help, was dismantled by then President de Klerk… “they” couldn’t fathom having a black nation controlling nukes. In America, In addition to destroying the economy, Bush has successfully broken the military and has begun privatizing soldiers. Wonder what excuse they’ll give for depleting the nation’s vast arsenal of weapons?

Here’s a little duzy of a quote found on the web that is indicative of a certain mindset re: people of color having wealth and power:

“People think Apartheid was about social repression based on racialism. Nope. Those were tools. Reality was, Apartheid in South Africa and Zimbabwe was about economics. It set up a system where a small oligarchy united by racialism could maximize “rent seeking behavior“ against the majority. It was about “anti-market sustainable wealth transfer”.

“So after ‘white majority rule, ended in Zimbabwe” white elites said, “well we dug this hole for you, and we used the dirt to build up our platform. Out of the goodness of our heart we are now going to take our foot off your head, you climb out and up to our level by yourself.

“See, that is fair and free. Everyone is equal. LOL”

The real sad fact about the entire African continent is that it abounds in natural resources demanded by the rest of the world, yet because of oppressive economic forces and easily manipulated leaders, its original peoples remain mired in turmoil and poverty.

However, even with access to the wiles of technology, the white power structure has little power to control stampeding forces of nature. And along with a continuance of widespread economic oppression will grow leaders much like Hugo Chavez, who instinctively revolt against minority rule and oppression.

There are a very few people who enjoy controlling our economic destinies. They have that power only because we’ve surrendered ours to them.

Dennis Kucinich: ‘Why I Voted No On Bailout Bill’

Video from Youtuber yrrmom. Dennis Kucinich on Democracy Now says the bailout as written is a “continuance of a transfer of wealth… upwards” adding “this is a very dangerous moment.”

Kucinich says that a former head of the FDIC told a group of congressmen yesterday that the “Bush Administration has been going around the last two weeks actually so tightening up on the practices of banks that they’re forcing them to have bigger reserves which forces them in a way… would kinda create, you know help to create the kind of tight money policies that we’re seeing, that we’re trying to alleviate with this bill. There needs to be a closer look at this…it seems to me there’s a possibility that this crisis has a little bit of manufacture to it…”

Kucinich says that congress has had no hearings on alternatives. He says we need to work on Plan B, to help Wall Street pay for its own problems via stock transfer tax and cancellation of dividends.

Speaker Pelosi from the House floor: “But it just comes down to one simple thing. They have described a precipice. We are on the brink of doing something that might pull us back from that precipice.” (emphasis mine)

So in effect, Wall Street gets $700+ billion from Americans that every economist agrees cripples our future goals, and in exchange we barter the future of generations of American children to come on a “might.”

Breathe, everyone.

For nearly a decade now, these (Bush) bad actors have successfully managed and terrified the American populace. If you’re terrified now, it’s because they want you to be… they’ve come back to us using their standard modus operandi (fear) for a coup de grace.

Let’s not help them. Let’s seize this moment and turn this crisis into an opportunity for change. The Orwellian thinking permeating our nation that a thing is either this or that, black or white doesn’t reflect a real world landscape where oftentimes there are a range of alternatives from which to choose.

This time let’s remain rational… let’s force our representatives to come up with a better thought out plan that benefits Americans and doesn’t target our progeny, condemning them to an Oliver Twist life in a country  “Third World, Only Shinier.”

US Congress Threatened With “Martial Law In America” If Bailout Bill Voted Down

Video posted by Youtuber saluki420

Watch: Rep. Brad Sherman

Video Transcript:

Rep. Brad Sherman: “The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere.

That atmosphere is not justified. Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill, on Monday, that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or 3,000 points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day. And a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America, if we voted no. That’s what I call fearmongering. Unjustified. Unproven. Wrong. We’ve got a week, we’ve got two weeks to write a good bill. The only way to pass a bad bill…keep the panic pressure on.

Now what has the senate done to this bill…”

This breaking news is all over the internet, bet not a word of it has hit corporate-owned media.

Call your representatives.

For Scandal Rich John McCain, Keating Five Is Just The Tip Of The Iceberg

Above is the Barack Obama 13 minute trailer re: John McCain’s Keating Five involvement. And as extensive as this video is, HAN has discovered that McCain has quite a few more skeleton’s in his double wide walk-in closet.

From The Nation magazine: McCain’s Kremlin Ties:

“Yet despite McCain’s tough talk, behind the scenes his top advisers have cultivated deep ties with Russia’s oligarchy–indeed, they have promoted the Kremlin’s geopolitical and economic interests, as well as some of its most unsavory business figures, through greedy cynicism and geopolitical stupor. The most notable example is the tale of how McCain and his campaign manager, Rick Davis, advanced what became a key victory for the Kremlin: gaining control over the small but strategically important country of Montenegro.”

The Nation’s entire article appears here.

The following names are directly tied to McCain’s behind the scenes dealings: Rick Davis (McCain campaign manager who until August was paid $15,000/month from Freddie Mac ostensibly for access), Oleg Derpaska (had his US visa revoked after Bob Dole helped him procure one) and Raffaello Follieri (if you watched actor Anne Hathaway’s SNL intro last Saturday, you heard her disavow their former relationship). The articles here and here and here and here detail their connections to John McCain. McCain’s been keeping very busy.

With all this damaging information waiting to blow up his campaign, why John McCain has given permission to raise flat and already proven false charges against Obama is beyond comprehension.

And we haven’t even begun rummaging through Governor Palin’s closet. Yet.

Al Jazeera Vid Highlights American Xenophobia: The Key To Republican Reign

Some of the comments Ohio voters voice on this 2:08 video:

+++++++

Woman: “I’m afraid if [Barack Obama] wins, the black (sic) will take over. He’s not a Christian, this is a Christian nation….”

–Blacks don’t have the political standing (collective wealth or influence) nor some wacky hidden desire “to take over”; Obama is a Christian, though America is not a Christian nation. Repeat after me: There is a separation between Church and State. There is a separation between Church and State. There is a separation between Church and State. Good.

+++++++

Man: “When you got a Negro running for president, he ain’t a first stringer.”

–First. Negro? Lord. help me… what century is it anyway? Second, he’s displaying that old American footballer mentality which holds that blacks can not and should not hold the highly coveted QB position. Welcome to the 21st century. I guess he thinks that this racist, outdated mentality applies to politics as well. Not.

+++++++

Man holding baby: “…Palin, she’s filled with the Holy Spirit and I believe she’s gonna bring honesty and integrity to the White House.”

–First, I feel sorry for that kid he’s holding and for America. Second, If Palin is filled with anything it’s with witchdoctoring, which goes against the teaching of the bible. And third, he neglects to mention the Troopergate findings that acknowledge Sarah Palin misused the governor’s office in an attempt to have her former BIL fired. That investigation is only the tip of the iceberg. According to various sources there are ongoing probes (housegate, emailgate, expanded probe into troopergate) into Palin’s alleged “ethics” violations as governor and mayor.

+++++++

Man: “[Barack Obama's] related to a known terrorist for one.”

–No mention of who these alleged mysterious terrorist relatives are nor was there any mention of McCain’s established connections to enemies of the State, nor Palin and her husband’s ties to sessionist party AIP.

+++++++

Woman: “Barack and his wife, I’m concerned that they could be anti-white.”

–So now, according to the woman, there’s speculation that Obama hates half of his family despite evidence quite to the contrary.

+++++++

Woman: “I don’t like the fact that he thinks us white people are trash.”

–Who knows where this dizzy comment comes from.

As xenophobic and thoughtless as these people are it’s difficult to imagine them as descendants of those brave souls who against all odds journeyed to America to escape persecution or came to America in search of freedom and a better life… for their children.

Republicans Fancy Warfare, Just Not Class Warfare

Photo: According to CNN’s rating system for its focus group, Senator Obama gets high marks from debate viewers during his closing remarks.

Republicans like to brag that their party respects a “culture of life.” I once had a Republican friend who from time to time liked using that line on me. My response to him: To conservatives, each fetus- once birthed-becomes a blight on society, as well as a financial liability.

That may have been too harsh a thing to say, but it successfully made my point that Republicans don’t like to spend much needed money on social programs, like well-baby care and Head Start. Because my friend never accepted my POV, we agreed to disagree on what “life” means. For non-conservatives, the Republican interpretation of “life” is an enigma.

That is true when you talk to any of them about the death penalty (specifically when the mentally challenged are involved) or about our society fighting a war, especially one that’ll kill brown people. When it comes to war -it seems even illegal ones- that “culture of life” thing takes on a laser-focused definition: Save American lives, to hell with everyone else.

Republicans are intoxicated by war.

War-thirsty Republicans fancy race wars (as evidenced by the type of hatred they’re inciting during their campaign rallies); Republicans cheer on the drug war (the CIA can run drugs into the US and allow the system to lock up drug users in need of rehabilitation, while funneling taxpayer dollars to Republican buddies who run privatized prisons); and Republicans salivate at the thought of wars that lead to building empire and exploitation of populations, gaming the system, once again, to funnel money to their buddies.

But, the necessary war- class war- that will prevent the middle class from further shrinking and prevent the nation’s wealthiest one per cent from owning every damn cent of this country… that war is a problem for them.

In the last debate between the presidential contenders, McSlimy accused Senator Obama of instigating a class war. “Class warfare” is a trigger term used for dumbed down Americans who don’t understand that unless they win the state lottery, they’ll never get the chance to (one day) be filthy rich enough to exploit others the way they’re now being exploited. These Americans may one day become filthy rich, though all odds say they won’t. Yet, they still balk at changing rules that will benefit their situation today.

These are the same Americans who confuse scary socialism with scary communism.

“Culture of life” to me means living… and not just barely.

I think for Republicans “Culture of life” means them living comfortably enough and long enough to suck up another buck on another day.

Greedy Effin Republican POS.

According to CNN and CBS results, Obama wins the debate against McSnortsAlot handily.

As Secession Sarah Rants On About Who’s Patriotic, She Weaves A Toddry Web For Herself

Joe Biden Responds to Sarah Palin’s statement that she loves to visit pro-American areas of the country. (We’re guessing that excludes Alaska). Transcript follows.

**********************

“Ladies and gentleman, every state that i’ve been in, every state in this nation has sent their sons and daughters to die and to serve for this country. Two thousand three hundred Nevadan’s sons and daughters are currently deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq. Thirty-five of them have given their lives.

“It doesn’t matter where you live…we all love our country, Governor Palin. We all love our country. Barack Obama puts his country first. I put my country first. These people put their country first.”

“Ladies and gentleman, Gov. Palin may have stepped back from some of the divisive rhetoric today, but the Republican campaign has stepped up its attacks that are just as divisive.”

“You may have seen Harry Reid’s comments today. you may have heard about the scurrilous phone calls that are coming into homes in Nevada, and in New Mexico where I was, and in Virginia where I’m going that question Barack Obama’s character and by implication question his patriotism.”

“Let me tell you. They don’t hurt Barack Obama. They don’t hurt me. But they hurt the American people because they’re an attempt to distract you from the issues that matter to your daily lives.”

“Ladies and gentleman, Barack is a tough guy. He can take three more weeks of these attacks, but our country can’t take 4 more years of Bush/ McCain policies.”

**********************

Soon after igniting this latest firestorm over who is and isn’t patriotic, Secession Sarah went on to qualify her remarks. It’s safe to assume that while speaking to her audience, Secession Sarah neglected to publicly chastise or apologize for the activities of her Todd-ry husband who was a registered member (1995-2002) of the Alaskan Secession group, AIP.

Oh, what a Toddry web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

Breaking: Colin Powell Endorses Obama

Colin Powell today on Meet The Press endorsed Barack Obama for President. Powell gives a number of reasons for supporting Obama including his “inclusive broader reach into the needs and aspirations of our people. He’s crossing lines… ethnic lines, racial lines, generational lines… he’s thinking about all villages have values…. not just small towns have values.”

Powell cites the McCain campaign as moving farther to the right. And says he would have problems with two more conservative appointments to the Supreme Court.

In his endorsement of Obama, Powell says that Gov. Palin is not ready to be president. He also voices similar concerns held by Democrats, Progressives and many Conservatives, that the tone of the McCain Campaign is too negative.

Tom Brokaw seems especially glum about the impending endorsement. More later.

McCain Campaign Hits Russians Up For Campaign Donation, Russians Respond: “Thanks, But No Thanks”

Original Russian letter: http://www.un.int/russia/new/MainRoot/docs/press/201008

Full story here.

The McCain campaign has accused the Obama campaign of accepting foreign campaign donations. Instead, the Russian document shows that McCain’s campaign has solicited Illegal donations. McCain’s phony complaint shows once again how convenient his campaign’s timing is when tossing around bogus accusations.

It is illegal to accept foreign money in election campaigns.

Obama Plans To Suspend Campaign To Be With His Ailing Grandmother

KITV Island Television News Video On Obama’s Visit To See Tutu

Photo: Obama relaxes with his maternal grandparents.

Obama is suspending his campaign to visit his ailing grandmother’s bedside in Hawaii.

A senior aid to Obama told ABC News that recently Madelyn Dunham had become ill and her “health has deteriorated to the point where her situation is very serious.”

Obama’s grandmother and grandfather helped to raise him, along with his mother.

HAN initially heard the campaign suspension would be for two days beginning Thursday, but Obama’s scheduled departure for Hawaii more than likely depends on his grandmother’s condition.

This is a truly sad turn of events. No word yet on the cause of her illness.

We wish Obama and his family well.

Woman Attempts Citizen’s Arrest Of Karl Rove

This brave and patriotic woman single-handedly attempts to haul troglodyte Rove off stage during a panel discussion.

Ignore the VO of the misinformed telePrompter reader who clearly ignores the woman telling Rove that he is being arrested on charges of treason.

Better luck next time.

McCain’s Black Relatives Speak Out (Video)

Author Douglas Blackmon along with Lillie McCain talk about John McCain Family ties on CNN.

Lillie McCain is a descendant of slaves once held on the plantation of John McCain’s great, great grandfather. Oral history of the African American McCains claims a biological connection and family relationship.

The white McCains, according to author Douglas Blackmon, say that “if that’s the case they never knew.”

Lillie adds that “given the way that the slave masters interacted with the slaves it would be uncommon” to not be biologically related. She says that they neither discount nor are ashamed whether that connection is real or not.

The white McCain’s who Blackmon spoke to told him, “it doesn’t really matter” if they share bloodlines with African-American McCains. Lillie confirms that DNA testing has not been done.

Still, McCain’s brother, Joseph, has embraced the family ties by attending the McCain Reunion with the African-American McCains held every two years at Teoc, Mississippi. However, Senator McCain, over the years, has chosen to not attend, again missing this year’s reunion, held on July 24.

Both sides of the McCain Family deserve kudos. Like a growing number of Americans whose families are connected by the travesty of slavery, they have chosen to tackle that part of our history head on.

No secrets. No denials. No shutting the eyes, hoping that it all goes away.

America is a country experiencing rapidly changing demographics. A real leader would take the opportunity to use his elaborately expressed history as an excellent teaching moment for America, rather than using his campaign to stir up the emotions of his constituency by reinforcing unjustified fears of the “otherness” of Barack Obama.

Apparently, that leader is not Senator McCain who seems to drunkenly steer his Straight Talk Express mindlessly and hazardously through small town America.

Whether or not the racists living in our nation approve, America is “browning.” Get over it. People having browner complexions will not be hopping on boats or planes in an attempt to apply for residence in other countries. It just ain’t gonna happen.

McCain could go a long way in helping his constituency understand it. But, that’s only if the senator bothers to do what it takes to understand it for himself.

More shame on John McCain.

I’ll get a video transcript up later in the day.

Obama/Biden Vote For Change Site Monitors Voter Rumors

Have you been told that voters can’t wear Obama/Biden T-shirts or buttons to the polls? Or that if your house has been foreclosed, you lose your vote? Are you confused or intimidated and wondering if these rumors are true?

The Obama/Biden campaign has set up a website, Vote For Change, a voter protection center to address these and many more rumors swirling around out there. Be sure to check it out before you head to the poll. Also, check with your own secretary of state.

Know your rights before you vote.

If you experience voting problems the website has a form that you can fill out.
